Excited to show the results of Kodie’s pet photography photo session at the small plane airport with his mom and dad’s plane as a focal point for the session.
Little did I know at the time when Kodies’ parents purchased a print from this years’ K9 Cancer Walk that we’d have a full photo session with Kodie.
My pet photography business is very personalized and prior to the pre-session consult I learned they wanted to incorporate their plane into the photo session. For the pre-session consult, we met at the airport so I could get a feel for the light in the hanger and where we could shoot outside. With the hanger door open, there was nice light filtering in.
We started the photo session outdoors with the plane parked in a location with no other planes next to it. Kodie was so calm and would stay in place for each pose. Other planes taxiing past didn’t faze him. Fortunately it wasn’t too warm and during a couple breaks, he laid down in the shade of the plane to chill.
A majority of days there are no clouds in the sky. Since I knew this was one of the shots I was planning, I purchased a set of Photoshop cloud brushes to use during the editing phase. A touch of magic – Impressive!
Time to move inside. Each shot was planned ahead of time. Not each exact pose but the general idea.
This one with Kodie looking out the window is actually from the pre-session where I took a few shots to get a feel for what I might like to do inside the hanger.
Pilot and co-pilot.
