Tis’ the season for holiday pet photos 2016

As we entered August it was once again time to plan for Holiday Photos.  First task is finding a pet business that has enough space and ability to host this event.  This year I was invited to photograph pets at a pet friendly apartment complex, Ascent Apartments.  Once that is set, September is when the prep work begins, creating signs and posters and deciding upon the holiday scene.

Sadly I got very few signups in spite of great promotion by the complex.  On the plus side, this allowed me to open up signups to my mailing list.  Some new faces and returning pups.

Our Summer, I mean Fall, day arrived, mid 70’s.  Car was packed full with Mrs Honi in the passenger seat ready to do the photo viewing and ordering.  She really enjoys meeting and playing with the furry ones.

Apollo.  With patience I was able to get a good selection of both Perseus and Apollo, but I think they would have rather been home.  They kept climbing out of the holiday trunk between the ribbon hinge and the top vs just coming out the front.  Silly kitties!San Jose Pet Photography, Pet Photography San Jose, San Jose Pet Photographer, San Jose Pet Photographer, Dog Photography, Dog Photographer, Pet Photography

Charlotte.  Charlotte is a repeat visitor to my holiday photo sessions.  Last year all she wanted to do was lay down, so I laid on the floor and got some great shots of her.  This year she was fantastic for me.  San Jose Pet Photography, Pet Photography San Jose, San Jose Pet Photographer, San Jose Pet Photographer, Dog Photography, Dog Photographer, Pet Photography

Emily (Emma).  Last  year Emma was a new rescue addition to be a sister to Charlotte, but she wasn’t ready to be photographed.  This year she came with Charlotte and did great.San Jose Pet Photography, Pet Photography San Jose, San Jose Pet Photographer, San Jose Pet Photographer, Dog Photography, Dog Photographer, Pet Photography

Alice.  Alice was recently adopted by her foster mom, who was a full session client earlier in the year, when I photographed Lacey and Archie.  At the time, I said Alice was going to be a permanent member of the family.  A print of Alice will be added to the triptych of Lacey and Archie to make it whole. San Jose Pet Photography, Pet Photography San Jose, San Jose Pet Photographer, San Jose Pet Photographer, Dog Photography, Dog Photographer, Pet Photography

Cassidy.  Cassidy was last seen when I photographed dogs eating ice cream cones at Okashi Barkery.  San Jose Pet Photography, Pet Photography San Jose, San Jose Pet Photographer, San Jose Pet Photographer, Dog Photography, Dog Photographer, Pet Photography
